Giuliana Marple
As a Teaching Faculty member and Lecturer of Italian, Giuliana Marple bridges cultures through education and diplomacy. Her expertise in international relations was forged through her work with the Olympic Committees in Salt Lake City and Turin, Italy, following her Master’s degree in Foreign Language Teaching from the University of Utah. Currently, Marple serves as a vital liaison between Salt Lake City and Italy, fostering cultural initiatives. Her deep appreciation for Italian art, history, and cultural heritage shapes her approach as an international travel educator, where she creates immersive learning experiences for students and anyone with a desire to learn. When not cultivating cross-cultural connections, Marple can be found cycling through Utah’s scenic landscapes or pursuing her lifelong passion for horses.

Simon Logue
Simon Logue is a University of Utah graduate (2024) with a unique combination of degrees in Operations and Supply Chain and World Languages and Cultures with and Italian emphasizes, complemented by a minor in Information Systems. Through his multifaceted experience in Study Abroad programs —both as a participant and in leadership roles— he has witnessed firsthand the transformative power these international experiences have on students’ lives. Drawing on his diverse academic background, he is dedicated to expanding the accessibility of Study Abroad Programs by building strategic partnerships between institutions and developing streamlined program creation processes.

Filmmaker & Director
Amanda Stoddard
Amanda Stoddard is an Emmy Award-winning director and producer known for her keen storytelling instincts. Her debut film, “One Revolution” (2011), garnered international recognition on the festival circuit and secured multiple awards.
Building on their success, her sophomore feature “ Quiet Heroes” (2018) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, earning both a GLAAD Media Award nomination and a Daytime Emmy Award. Stoddard continued her acclaimed work with “No Crime in Sin” (2019), which received several industry accolades. Her narrative short film “Clicker” (2019) is currently making its way through the festival circuits.
Today Amanda works across multiple formats, developing projects that blend documentary and narrative storytelling for both film and television.

Filmmaker & Educator
Alysia Fae Klein
Alysia Klein is an independent filmmaker and educator with a focus in post-production and specializes in screendance and narrative filmmaking. Klein has been involved in and has produced a number of films, winning awards for best cinematography, best production design, and best film. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts from the University of Utah and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater & Dance from the University of Wyoming. In addition to film, Professor Klein is an accomplished dancer and choreographer. She has received over twenty awards for outstanding choreography both regionally and nationally.
